Porto Cristo is the old harbour of the city of Manacor which is a ten minutes drive away. The typical fishing village is situated in a protected bay and has a sandy beach right beside the marina. Especially in summer this nice place is a destination for excursions. The boardwalk along the waterfront with restaurants, bars, shops and boutiques is inviting for a promenade.
Sitting in one of the cafes on the big and shady Plaza you have a wonderful over the marina and the sea. The sandy but also rocky beaches are ideal for swimming, snorkelling and diving. In the southeast part of Porto Cristo there are the most famous stalactite caves of the island – the Cuevas del Drach. At the big lake, called Martel, little classical concerts take place for the visitors.
The nearest golf courses are in a driving distance of 20 – 30 minutes. It takes you about 50 minutes to go to Palma or to the airport.
